How to create a HD multipurpose Map

If you want to create a multipurpose map such as Route map, Administrative map, Thematic map or etc you must create a digital map. Digital map or vector map can minimize your lebour for future activities. Just like plants a tree, one time nursing and get lifetime frute. However, if you make soft copy of a base map with a graphical scale, then you can produce numbers of map with different attributes.

Without any GIS software here I will try to make a High Resolution Base Map. At first open Google map on your desktop and select the area as you wish. Maintain the scale same and save the map as image file by Spinning tool or PrtScnSysRq hot key. If the are is big you can save the area by part images.

Now open Coreldraw X4 on your desktop. Pest the image or images and Marge them properly. Now just tressing the map, then remove the background map. Your soft base map is ready for use. You can drag it as you wish, resolution will always high.

Here some tricks I give for better output:

1. demarcate boundary, roads and railway line  by Polyline tool. You can make it full or part as a corve by shape tool.

2. beside the full project you can part the water bodies by copy pest the base images. Now select the image > Trace Bitmap > Out line Trace > High Quality Image > OK. Then drag the output and ungroup them. Delete the unwanted segment and save vector line or polygons for respective water bodies like pond , River etc.

3. you can make the map partly and join them by 'combine/ weld/ grouped all' tool option. For example, two line have to join as same line, just select both lines > click on combine > click on shape tool > drag the one's edge to other's end. Same way you make the road or rail network by grouped all/ weld option.

4.
